Apart from 130 ongoing subscriptions to domestic and international journals, the library contains almost 70,000 volumes. The library is open to the public. You can find it in the Pohlighaus (Pohligstr.1), 1.floor.
Estate of Wilhelm Röpke & Alfred Kruse
Aditionally the library contains the complete scientific legacy of Wilhelm Röpke as well as of Alfred Kruse.
A visit is worthwhile for three reasons:
- Well known journals
... e.g. American Economic Review or Journal of Economic Perspectives,
- Large selection of statistical material
.... e.g. IMF-statistics, OECD-statistics or most of the publications of the Federal Statistical Office
- Remarkable selection ofworking papers and journals regarding international trade, developing countries and Central and Eastern Europe.
Borrowing is only possible to make copies or overnight. A valid ID must be deposited with the library employee.
Opening hours during the semester: Monday – Thursday from 9.00 am until 12.00 am and from 1.00 pm until 3.30 pm.
Beyond the opening hours and during the semester break, the library can be used after consultation with Mrs. Frau Dagmar Rickmeyer (Tel.: 0221 - 470 5347).
An inquiry by telephone is recommended in general, so that the requested books or journals can be assembled in advance.
